Washington, DC – Today, the House passed bipartisan bills cosponsored by U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-39) to support educational opportunities in science, technology, education and mathematics (STEM).
As one the first Korean American women to serve in Congress, a member of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee and representative of minority-serving institutions (MSIs) such as California State University – Fullerton and Mt. San Antonio College, Rep. Kim is committed to supporting STEM opportunities for students of all backgrounds.
“For America to continue to lead on the world stage, we need to guarantee our nation’s best and brightest students have the skills to confront tomorrow’s global challenges head-on. Our country’s competitiveness abroad depends on the STEM proficiency of our students.
