Yorba Linda, CA – This week, the Yorba Linda Water District secured an authorization of $6.5 million through the Water Resources Development Act of 2024 for the construction of Yorba Linda Water District’s Well 24 which will provide a new, affordable water supply within the service area.
U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-40) advocated for this project and voted in favor of the final bill in December 2024, and she voted in favor of the House version of the bill in July 2024.

Young Kim. “I’m thrilled to have been able to work with YLWD as well as Senators Padilla and Schiff to get this important project through the finish line that will provide a new, affordable water supply to Orange County residents. I’ll always be a loud voice for our community and work to ensure a safe, reliable water supply.”
“This funding represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing high-quality, reliable water services to our community,” stated YLWD Board President, Thomas Lindsey.
YLWD General Manager, Mark Toy added, “We are grateful for the support of our elected officials and look forward to utilizing these resources to enhance our water infrastructure.”
