Washington, DC – This month, U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-40) received the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC)’s Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate Award for her exceptional leadership in championing community health centers (CHCs) and expanding access to healthcare for underserved populations.
“Orange County is home to over 40 community health centers that provide quality care to our communities and meet patients’ needs. CHCs are vital to the health and wellness of my constituents, and I’m proud to be their advocate in Congress,” said Rep. Young Kim. “I thank the Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers for this award and appreciate all that they do to support community health and patient well-being. I look forward to continuing to work together to ensure access to quality health care.”
“This year, we are proud to recognize Congresswoman Young Kim for her steadfast commitment to strengthening CHCs and ensuring that millions of Americans—especially those in Orange County—can continue to receive the essential healthcare services they rely on. Congresswoman Kim’s advocacy has been instrumental in securing funding and policies that empower CHCs to serve their communities effectively. As we face ongoing challenges—including threats to Medicaid funding and access—her leadership in advancing bipartisan solutions remains critical in protecting the lifeline that so many low-income families, seniors, and vulnerable populations rely on. We are grateful for Congresswoman Kim’s support and look forward to continuing to work together to advance healthcare initiatives that benefit Orange County and beyond,” said Dani Bryant, Project Manager, the Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers.
