Yorba Linda, CA – This week, the Yorba Linda Water District secured an authorization of $6.5 million through the Water Resources Development Act of 2024 for the construction of future water infrastructure projects within the service area.
U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-40) advocated for this project and voted in favor of the final bill in December 2024, and she voted in favor of the House version of the bill in July 2024.

Young Kim. “I’m thrilled to have been able to work with YLWD as well as Senators Padilla and Schiff to provide opportunities for future water infrastructure construction like groundwater wells to Orange County residents. I’ll always be a loud voice for our community and work to ensure a safe, reliable water supply.”
“This funding represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing high-quality, reliable water services to our community,” stated YLWD Board President, Thomas Lindsey.
