Orange, CA – On Saturday, May 18, 2024, U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-40) hosted a reception at Orange City Hall to recognize at least 22 nominees from CA-40, who were offered appointment to U.S. service academies, which is open to all high school seniors across the district.

“Nominating our best and brightest young leaders to our service academies, some of our nation’s most prestigious higher institutions, is a privilege. I am thrilled that at least 22 students from CA-40 were offered appointments to U.S. service academies’ Class of 2028,” said Rep. Young Kim, a wife and sister to U.S. Army veterans. “Congratulations to all the nominees and thank you for your leadership to step up and protect our freedoms from global threats. Our future is bright because of these bright leaders who I know will make our communities and our nation proud.”
