Members of the America’s Credit Unions lobbying team were on Capitol Hill Thursday to participate in the Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation Caucus’ Financial Literacy Resource Fair in celebration of Financial Capability Month.
Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation Caucus co-chairs Reps. Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio, and Young Kim, R-Calif., opened the event with remarks on the importance of financial literacy and how working in a bipartisan manner will allow members of the caucus to continue to do great work.
In her opening remarks, Beatty noted the presence of America’s Credit Unions at the event and praised the credit union industry for the important work it does in the financial literacy space.
America’s Credit Unions has celebrated Financial Capability Month by sharing impactful credit union stories via social media and continuing to engage with lawmakers and regulators to tout the credit union difference.
