Rep Young Kim Receives Community Health Center Advocate Award

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-40) received the Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate Award from the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) for her tireless work in Congress to advocate for Southern California community health centers.

“Orange County is home to nearly 30 community health centers that provide quality care to our communities and meet patients’ needs. Community health centers are vital to the health and wellness of my constituents, and I’m proud to be their advocate in Congress,” said Rep. Young Kim. “I thank the Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers for this award and appreciate all that they do to support community health and patient well-being. I look forward to continuing to work together to ensure access to quality health care.”

“We are grateful for Congresswoman Young Kim for making time to meet with a delegation of Community Health Centers located in the 40th District and the Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers as part of the 2024 NACHC Policy and Issue Forum Hill Visits Days. Our group, on behalf of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), was excited to present Congresswoman Kim with a Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate award for her continued support of Community Health Centers and the patients they serve. We appreciate Congresswoman Kim’s commitment to extending funding for Community Health Centers and primary care workforce programs, as the funding expiration date approaches on March 8, 2024. We look forward to continuing to work with her,” said Isabel Becerra, President and CEO, Coalition of Orange County Community Health Centers.
