Lawyer Jimmy Siu See-kong on Monday filed a writ to the High Court, asking it to hand down an order to allow Hong Kong citizens to arrest the five US congressmen calling for sanctions against 49 Hong Kong officials, judges and prosecutors after they have perverted the course of justice.
In a writ submitted to the High Court by his company Sino Moral Limited last Friday, Siu requested a court order declaring the five US politicians – Young Kim, Jim McGovern, John Curtis, Dan Sullivan and Jeff Merkley – of committing crimes including perverting the course of justice and contempt of court.
Any person in Hong Kong, including the police force, should have the power to arrest the five in the city, Siu said.
