Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Representative Young Kim (CA-40), who serves on the House Financial Services Committee, released the following statement on President Biden’s budget proposal for fiscal year 2024.
“As Americans face record-high inflation and economic uncertainty, President Biden is doubling down on historic federal spending, government control over Americans’ personal financial transactions, tax hikes on individuals and businesses, and more federal debt. Americans don’t want this and cannot afford it,” said Rep. Kim. “If President Biden is serious about fighting inflation and preserving Social Security and Medicare for future generations, we should be serious about controlling our debt and reducing the more than $1 billion we’re paying each day just on interest. I will keep fighting to make life more affordable, lower taxes, protect Social Security and Medicare, and ensure the American dream remains alive for all Americans.”
