“Improving the 57/60 Confluence would reduce traffic, enhance safety and ensure the flow of goods and services in this vital trade corridor, impacting our local, regional and national economy. Since coming to Congress, I’ve made securing funding for this project a top priority by requesting funding and educating my colleagues on the impacts of the Confluence in CA-39. I enjoyed meeting with local officials to discuss the project and will continue to do all I can to fight for the needs of CA-39 communities in Congress,” said Kim.

“We had a great meeting with [Congresswoman Kim] in the City of Diamond Bar shortly after [she] w[as] elected and [she] assured us [she] would be a strong advocate for the 57/60 Confluence Project. Well, I’m here to tell you that [she] really came through. [She] really did what [she] said you were going to do,” said Nancy Lyons, Mayor, City of Diamond Bar. “I can’t say enough about how grateful Diamond Bar and the surrounding communities are for [Rep. Kim’s] efforts.”

“It is amazing to see how much [Rep. Kim] has accomplished in such a short period of time. I know there’s a lot going on in Washington right now, so it means a lot to us that [she’s] made this project one of [her] biggest priorities and have been such a strong advocate for us in Congress,” said Cory Moss, Mayor, City of Industry. “We greatly appreciate [Rep. Kim’s] deep understanding of these challenges and willingness to help us secure the resources that we need to address them.”

“We’re very grateful for the hard work of Congresswoman Young Kim who has been tireless on this issue which is so critical to her district and other members of Congress here from the region who are working to move this project forward,” said Brad Jenson, Director of Public Policy, San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership.
