Washington, DC – Today, the House passed the bipartisan 504 Modernization and Small Manufacturer Enhancement Act (H.R. 1490) to support small manufacturers, boost our economy and create jobs.
Rep. Young Kim (CA-39) joined Reps. Angie Craig (MN-02), Sharice Davids (KS-03) and Steve Chabot (OH-01) to introduce this bipartisan bill to streamline and improve the SBA 504 loan program to allow more small businesses to access capital they need to grow their business and create jobs.
“As a small business owner, I understand the struggles our small business owners face and know that these challenges have only gotten worse during the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s why I’m proud to have helped introduce this bipartisan bill with Reps. Angie Craig, Sharice Davids and Steve Chabot to help small manufacturers gain access to the capital they need to stay open during COVID-19 and afterward, create jobs, and support our local economy,” said Kim. “The only way we can get big things done in Congress is by working together. I thank my colleagues for coming together in a bipartisan way to pass this important bill and urge the Senate to take swift action to support our small businesses.”
